Job Summary:

As a Conti Commis I Chef at Moustache Escapes, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of continental dishes, ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation are in line with our high standards. You will work closely with the Head Chef and contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen while maintaining hygiene and safety protocols.


Location : Goa, Udaipur, Rishikesh, Sissu (Himachal)Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of all Continental dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
  • Ensure food preparation meets the quality standards set by Moustache Escapes, including taste, presentation, and portion control.
  • Support the Head Chef in daily operations and maintain the kitchen's readiness for service.
  • Handle mise en place (preparations) and ensure timely setup of kitchen stations.
  • Follow recipes and instructions provided by the Head Chef to ensure consistency across all dishes.
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of workstations and comply with food safety regulations.
  • Assist in stock management and inventory control, ensuring that ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff and contribute to the team's performance during service.
  • Contribute to menu improvements and innovation, keeping in line with Moustache Escapes standards.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • At least 4-6 years of experience in Continental cuisine in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene, health, and safety standards.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Basic knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to follow the guidance of the Head Chef and learn new cooking techniques.
  • Passionate about food quality and presentation.
Educational Requirements:
  • Diploma in Culinary Arts or relevant certification from a recognized culinary institution.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety standards.
Additional Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy kitchen equipment.
