Lighthouse, KPMG's Big Data, AI & Analytics practice has deep industry specialization and focuses on solution delivery for Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Visualization, and Process Analytics.

As a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and solutions on the Google Cloud Platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, develop scalable data architectures, and ensure data integrity and availability.

Key Technical Skills
Design and implement scalable data solutions on the Google Cloud Platform using services such as Google Cloud Storage, Google BigQuery, Google Dataflow, and Google Dataproc.Develop and maintain data ingestion processes, ETL workflows, and data transformation pipelines to efficiently move and process data from various sources.Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and implement solutions to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.Optimize data storage, processing, and querying performance on GCP to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of data solutions.Implement data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve issues related to data quality, performance, and reliability.Document data architecture, design decisions, and technical specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among team members.Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data engineering and cloud computing.Other soft skills needed for this role.
Analytical mind, problem-solving aptitude, attention to details and sense of ownership will be critical to succeed in this role.Experience of having worked as per scrum/agile framework and methodology and good communication skills.Experience of directly interacting with clients on technical tracks and ability to spot opportunities for business development.Insatiable appetite to learn and navigate through uncharted landscape of technology and business.
