JobOverview: As a Supplier Quality Engineer specializing in themechanical domain this role will play a crucial
role in ensuring the quality andreliability of mechanical components and systems sourced fromexternal
suppliers. This role sprimary responsibility will be to assess monitor and enhance thequality performance of
suppliersensuring that their products meet the required standards andspecifications. The SQE willcollaborate
with crossfunctionalteams suppliers and internal stakeholders including Sourcing SCM& Engineering teams
todrive continuous improvement in the supply chain fostering aculture of qualityexcellence.

KeyResponsibilities:
1. SupplierAssessment and Approval:
Conductthorough evaluations of potential suppliers to ensure they meet thecompanys
quality standards andrequirements for mechanicalcomponents.
Collaborate withSourcing and engineering teams to establish criteria for supplierselection
andapproval.

2.Quality Planning:
Develop andimplement quality plans for mechanical components outlininginspection
criteria testingprocedures and quality controlmeasures.
Collaborate withsuppliers to establish mutually agreedupon quality standardsand
performancemetrics.

3.Supplier Audits and Assessments:
Conduct regular onsite and remote audits of supplier facilities toassess their quality
managementsystems and production processes.
Identify areas of improvement and work with suppliers to implementcorrective and
preventiveactions.

4.Quality Control and Inspection:
Establish inspection protocols and standards for incomingmechanical components.
Coordinatewith suppliers to address and resolve quality issues promptlyincluding root
cause analysis andcorrectiveactions.

5.Continuous Improvement:
Workcollaboratively with suppliers to identify opportunities forprocess improvement and
costreduction.
Implement and monitorcontinuous improvement initiatives to enhance overallsupplier
qualityperformance.

6.Collaboration and Communication:
Foster strong relationships with crossfunctional teams includingSourcing SCM
engineering andproduction to align on qualityexpectations.
Communicateeffectively with suppliers to convey quality standardsspecifications and
improvementplans.

7.Risk Management:
Identifypotential risks in the supply chain related to mechanicalcomponents and develop
strategiesto mitigate these risks.
Collaborate with suppliers to establish contingency plans forunexpected qualityissues.

8.Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and uptodate records of supplier qualityperformance auditsand
inspections.
Generate regular reports on supplier quality metrics and keyperformance indicators.
Keep atrack of day to day supplier quality issues actions and closurestatus
Manage supplier rejections/ MRB / Blocked stock along with SCM teams forclosure.

RequirementsQualifications:
Bachelors degree / Diploma inMechanical Engineering or a relatedfield.
Proven experience insupplier quality engineering particularly in the mechanicaldomain.
Strong understanding ofmechanical components manufacturing processes and qualitycontrol
methodologies mechanicalspecial processes & controlmechanisms
Knowledge of relevantindustry standards (AS9100) Aerospace & Defense customerstandards /
requirements andregulations.
Excellentcommunication and interpersonalskills.
Problemsolving and rootcause analysis & 8Dexpertise.
FAI process as perAS9102 requirements
Workingexperience in Electronics Manufacturing industry (EMS) will be anadded advantage.
Ability totravel for onsite supplier visits asneeded.

OtherSkills Preferred:
Certificationin quality management (e.g. Lean Six Sigma CpK studies SPC& MSA Internal auditor).
Familiarity with ERP (SAP) systems and quality managementsoftware.
Understanding of bothmetal & plastic parts manufacturingprocesses
Coordinating with IQCteam
Knowledge of different typesof mechanical materials andfinishes

Qualifications: Minimum of 6-9 years of experience in supplierquality management, preferably in the electronic componentsindustry. Strong understanding of electronic componentmanufacturing processes, quality control methodologies, andindustry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IPC-A-610). Experience inconducting supplier audits and implementing corrective actions.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the abilityto collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Proficiency inquality management tools and software applications. Other SkillsPreferred: Certification in quality management (e.g., Lean SixSigma, AS/ISO Internal auditor etc). Familiarity withindustry-specific quality standards and IPCA-610 & JSTD Class3requirements Experience with electronic testing equipment andtools. Ability to manage internal issues and keep regular internalcommunication with team and CFT Thorough understanding about EMSmanufacturing practices and methods
