Acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems. Provides direction for design activities. NTT is currently seeking a Public Cloud Architect to join our CSD Managed Services Public Cloud organization.

The Public Cloud Architect will be leading technical thought leadership and delivery excellence related activities for managed services accounts. The ideal candidate has expert level knowledge and experience in designing, migrating, and implementing complex hosting solutions and migrations. The position is customer facing and will work closely with Product Owners, Applications Owners, Network and Security team to deliver the best solution for large scale infrastructure design and application migrations. Candidates should possess expert knowledge in public and hybrid cloud models. The architect needs to have the ability to provide insight into the workloads and their dependencies to map out the best strategy to migrate workloads to Azure. This will include determining the ideal groups of applications and defining a roadmap to move to the cloud.

Responsibilities:

Subject matter expert in Public Cloud Architecture and Cloud Adoption Frameworks, as it relates to compute, network, storage, and native SaaS/PaaS offeringsPartner with sales, product, and architecture teams to create architecture roadmaps and design product and services to meet customer needsAdopt shift-left approach in each solutionLiaise with other Architecture teams to develop solution designs and review alternative solutions for best fitCollaborate with Product Engineering to develop tooling and infrastructure for cloud development and cloud operations use cases, with a focus on AKS/microservices deployment and distributed systems monitoring and fault analysisStrategize with business and service lines to develop solutions based on a variety of criteria including a clear description of services, functionality, scalability, future proofing, and costLead pre-production readiness efforts, POCs, lab testing and knowledge transfer; worked with engineering teams to accelerate software deliveryImplement landing zones and build public cloud infrastructure for migrations and new environmentsDeploy highly available, scalable and secure cloud infrastructure with a focus on Azure using industry best practicesAdapt to changing priorities and thrive in very dynamic environment with multi stakeholders from multiple lines of businesses that may having competing needs; maintain deep technical and business knowledge of industry directions and trends in cloud security. Deploy networking solutions by using the Azure Portal and other methods, including PowerShell, Azure Command-Line Interface (CLI)Assist with client pre and post-sale engagementsAssist with technical aspects of solution proposals, SOW, and estimationDefine and implement infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques to migrate workloads into AzureWork closely with the Product Engineer team to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployment of infrastructureLeverage DevOps best practices to deploy Infrastructure as CodeAct as technical lead for Public Cloud projects for Managed ServicesContribute to and support execution of client engagementsActing as a point of escalation for support and troubleshooting existing environments as issues arise (connectivity or performance issues for example)

Basic Qualifications:

Expert Azure Cloud infrastructure experienceMinimum eight years of recent experience designing, implementing, and operating secure architecture and reference architectures in public cloudAzure Certifications: AZ-104, AZ-305, Solutions Architect ExpertExceptional documentation and diagramming skillsBe a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve complex Cloud Infrastructure and Networking challengesMust be able to effectively orchestrate and manage several dozen separate public cloud environments to a high standard of care and competenceCreate and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholdersStrong experience with adoption of CAF (Cloud Adoption Framework), adhering to principles of WAF (Well Architecture Framework) and demonstrated ability of Migrating applications to cloud using AMPP (Azure Migration Program)Expertise in core infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, network routing and security group/firewall management; extensive working knowledge of Azure products and servicesDetailed understanding of secure network and application design concepts and a demonstrated ability to integrate security tools with IT infrastructure such as proxies, mail servers, Active Directory, Identity and Access controls, workstations, and mobile devicesStrong understanding of optimization techniques to drive optimal cost structures for applications running in the Public Cloud; knowledgeable in all facets of compute, network, and storage as it relates to Public Cloud ArchitecturesAzure networking: Hub and spoke, Virtual WAN, SD-WANExperienced in container and microservices such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)Automation; Infrastructure as Code; VM setup/teardown, scripting, platform tools (Azure Resource Manager), exposure to 3rd party tool like TerraformInfrastructure as Code using tools such as but not limited to, Terraform, Git LabDevOps: Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Pipelines, Branching, Merges, Approval gatesLogging and monitoring of cloud deployments

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a computer science or information technology, computer engineering or similar fieldTOGAF or similar architecture certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of other Hypervisors such as AWS, GCP, OCIBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferredTerraform experienceAZ-140 preferredAZ-400 preferredAZ-700 preferredAzure Solutions ArchitectAbility to travel up to 25%
