At STRI we arehiring a ManagerCurriculum Development position for a Chennai basedNGO. This is an onsite workopportunity.

TheCurriculum Development Manager will be responsible for designingdeveloping and managing educational curricula and materials for ourvarious programs and initiatives. Your role will be crucial inensuring that the educational content is relevant and effective.The ideal candidate should have a strong background in curriculumdevelopment instructional design and a passion for creatingimpactful learningexperiences.

Primary Responsibilities includedbut not limited to:

  • Designand develop comprehensive and engaging curricula aligned withState/National educational standards for various educationalprograms (between 618 years) in alignment with organisation svision.
  • Conductneeds assessments to identify educational gaps and requirementsensuring that the curriculum meets the specific needs of the targetbeneficiaries.
  • Implementsound instructional design principles and appropriatetechnology/tools to create effective learning experiences includinglearning objectives lesson plans activities andassessments.
  • Providetraining and capacity building to fellows volunteers tutors andother staff members on the effective delivery of thecurriculum.
  • Collaboratewith the Monitoring and Evaluation team to assess the impact of thecurriculum on learners outcomes and make necessaryadjustments.

PreferredEducation Qualification /Experience:

  • Bachelorsor Masters degree in Education Curriculum Development InstructionalDesign or a relatedfield.
  • Classroomexperience (through fellowships/other structured channels) would beanadvantage
  • Provenexperience ( 3 years) in curriculum development and instructionaldesign
  • Strongknowledge of educational principles learning theories andpedagogicalapproaches.
  • Familiaritywith Open Educational Resources (OER) and Creative Commonslicensing.
  • Familiaritywith educational standards andframeworks.

  • Adeep passion for educationreform
  • Expertwritten and verbal communication skills English (essential) andTamil(preferred)
  • Proficiencyin using educational technology tools and software for contentcreation anddelivery
  • Excellentcommunication and presentation skills with the ability to conveycomplex concepts to diverse audienceseffectively
  • Strongproject management skills with the ability to meet deadlines andmanage multiple projectssimultaneously

Minimum 5-7 years of prior experience preferably in Projectmanagement Experience of running a start-up would be an advantageFundraising experience would be an advantage Prior volunteeringexperience is mandatory. Any graduate Passionate about volunteeringand promoting volunteerism Should be resident of Chennai pincode600018, or willing to relocate Good computer knowledge and MSoffice skills. Familiarity with using the Internet - doing onlineresearch, compiling and putting things together, Google Docs,Social Media, etc. Strong conceptual, planning, operational andanalytical skills. Good interpersonal and persuasive skills toengage a wide variety of stakeholders - citizens, bureaucrats,entrepreneurs, non-profit founders, policymakers, etc. Ability tomanage and implement programs and get results as the core focusVery responsive - quick to get back to people, always available.Fluent in English and Tamil communication (written & spoken).Reliable& Dependable - punctual, good at meeting deadlines, andtaking ownership of the project and its outcomes.
