Position Specialist Job Purpose

Position Specialist is a member of the People Services & Support organization and plays a key role in the recruitment process designed to simplify the hiring process for the customer This role will be accountable for creating the job requisition and will require a deep level of end-to-end recruitment process knowledge to enhance and make it easier for the customer. The process requires recruitment capability and expertise of end-to-end process and is responsible for providing effective service to hiring manager offering high touch support for recruitment process.

Position Management Expert JP

The current role - GCC HR Global T1 Data Management (India) is a member of the People Services (Global Capability Centre - India) , GSK Bangalore. The Position management expert role provides technical expertise and guidance to Position Specialist for EMEA and India.

This SME position requires to provide technical leadership to a team of Position Management Specialists working with stakeholders across Hubs and Recruitment teams to drive the principals of Position management, data management workstreams and oversight of volumes .

The role ensures Position and Data Management processes are efficiently delivered and Continues Improvement is applied across hubs in line with the performance and experience KPIs.

This is an enhancement to the Position Specialist role as the team and function has evolved in the last 3 years with additional responsibilities across multiple geographies (Current – EMEA , India ) (Future – In Progress- Americas , APAC)

This role is required to provide technically and SME expertise to the Position Management team.

Position Management Expert KR

Position Specialist

Providing technical support to the team of Position Specialist team (currently 6 aligned with EMEA, 1 with India) based out of GCC, deploying principles of position management for global Markets . Lead the Change Mindset in the Position Specialist team from transactional to strategic / consultative working closely with Hiring Managers & Recruitment teams. Work with stakeholders in Recruitment (EMEA, India) to ensure continued support for the PS model and adoption of new ways of working within the team. Work closely with the Recruitment COE and GPO and build capability to further enhancing the scope of position management from the team. Technical Representation - Position Management in various Global Recruitment Lead Team meetings to understand and assess the requirements and drive the successful delivery. Deliver against all compliance imperatives including support for local and global Data Audits, local legislative needs, protecting Data Privacy at all times and adhering to confidentiality requirements to promote zero breach of compliance policies. Take ownership for all relevant Service Operating Procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose and governed according to accepted Global standards.

Improvements in Ways of working (CI)

Partners with other functions within the HR service delivery model to ensure processes are optimized to deliver excellent service to the customer. As needed, manages projects/process optimization initiatives, and engages stakeholders to facilitate change management.

Knowledge Management

Uses knowledge management tools/Veevadocs effectively to ensure accuracy of information and stays abreast of changes in knowledge management content. Take accountability for ensuring all relevant Service Operating Procedures are fit for purpose and governed according to accepted Global standards. Possesses deep knowledge of Workday Data Management and Transactional Support serving as subject matter understanding the downstream impact of transactions on benefits/Payroll and other systems. Serves as subject matter expert on HR transactions on workday, processes, and other services to ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times, stakeholder knowledge is current and fit for purpose and is able to identify and take corrective action when information appears out of alignment or incorrect. Understands the use of on-line tools and HR systems and can act as a subject matter expert on a wide range of diverse and complex issues and provide guidance as it relates to HR transactions.

Position Specialist 2.0 – 3.0

This is a global initiative to transform and streamline the Position Specialist responsibilities. The incumbent would be playing a critical role in contributing to the design and implementation of the Plan.  Work with the GPO to empower the team to share external insights related to the average time to fill and salary range for the type of capability they are looking to build. This should also have insights into Talent Prospects functionality in Workday; Review prospects for fit for current role and notify recruiter of available prospects.
