Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineer to join our team at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital & Research Centre in Mumbai. This is a full-time role suited for candidates with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience. The successful applicant will bring expertise in engineering and design within a healthcare setting, manage complex projects, and ensure compliance with the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven expertise in mechanical engineering, critical for designing and maintaining hospital mechanical systems. (Mandatory skill)
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering for developing and implementing electrical frameworks. (Mandatory skill)
  • Skilled in plumbing design to support the development of hospital infrastructure systems. (Mandatory skill)
  • Comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems relevant to managing climate control within hospital facilities.
  • Experience with fire protection systems ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Strong familiarity with building codes applicable to hospital settings to guarantee structural compliance and safety.
  • Insight into energy efficiency practices to promote sustainable operations and cost-effectiveness in facility management.
  • Proficient in project management to oversee multiple, simultaneous MEP projects from inception to completion.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and manage MEP systems for new facility projects and renovations within the hospital environment.
  • Collaborate with architects, construction teams, and hospital management to integrate MEP designs into overall building plans.
  • Ensure all engineering work complies with health, safety, regulatory, and environmental standards specific to healthcare facilities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including specifications, reports, and approvals.
  • Implement best practices for the operation and maintenance of existing systems to enhance overall hospital efficiency.
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues within MEP installations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve MEP engineering practices to maximize facility management efficiency and sustainability.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff and maintenance personnel.
