Lead a team of senior lead engineers to design and develop large scale data warehouse systems and related applications based on scalable multi-petabyte technology stacks, such as MapR, Snowflake.

Typically requires - years of experience in software development or in a related area. Responsible for analyzing requirements for large-scale, data centric software applications, and modeling of data warehouse ETL and Schema in order to consume large variety of data formats and protocols. Guide a team to independently design, code and test major features, as well as work jointly with other core development teams. Hands-on skills for designing and developing high quality analytical applications for processing the data and generating analysis results, following the standard software lifecycle development process. Experience with tuning and optimizing large scale data platforms. Experience in handling a team of > Members

Primary responsibilities:

Lead and manage highly talented team leads and individual contributors with varying degree of experience of size - Owns end to end module/s and has complete understanding of architecture. Come up with design/solutions alternatives with pros and cons Hard-working with a "whatever it takes" attitude. Ensures delivery is made with quality and on time. Estimate the stories precisely Proven track record in recruiting and retaining top engineering talent Deliver solid code and working applications that provide the appropriate level of security, performance, and reliability. Develop Applications using the latest techniques in massively scalable parallel distributed environments. Interact with other development teams, QA, Documentation, Release Engineering to execute on product goals in an agile manner Provide strong testing, debugging, and documentation skills, and develop automated tests for software created by you or others in the group Be self-motivated and proactively manage time and tasks Demonstrate leadership, people management, and communication skills. Comfortable interacting with executives, senior managers engineers and advocating for the right outcome. Develop Dev team performance stats Proven track record in recruiting and retaining top engineering talent

Requirements:

BE/ME/MS/MCA/MCM degree with - years exp Experience in leading team of top-notch teams of size - with team and tech leads as direct reports Proven track record of building and shipping successful software products Strong software development and project management fundamentals Must have sound experience of scaled applications on cloud + years Hands-on Experience with Java, RESTful services, and Spring Knowledge of RDBMS/SQL. Excellent written and oral communication skills with English. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. Good interpersonal skills. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Must have an understanding of scaled applications on cloud Must have Knowledge of Cloud (Azure preferred ) Management Infrastructure Must have Knowledge of Big Data.
