JobSummary:The FMCG Modern Trade Manager isresponsible for driving sales growth profitability and brandpresence within the modern trade channel for our FMCG products.This role requires a strategic and resultsoriented individual witha deep understanding of the modern trade landscape and the abilityto build strong relationships with key accountmanagers. KeyResponsibilities:Develop and implement strategies to achievesales targets and market share objectives within the modern tradechannel. Manage anddevelop relationships with key account managers at major moderntrade retailers.Oversee category management initiatives tooptimize product placement pricing andpromotions. Developand execute trade marketing and promotional campaigns to drivesales and brand awareness.Monitor and analyse sales data and markettrends to identify growth opportunities.Manage a team of sales representatives (ifapplicable) and ensure they achieve theirtargets. Preparereports and presentations to communicate performance and insightsto seniormanagement.
Key Results Areas(KRAs):1.SalesGrowth: Achieve assigned sales targets for the modern tradechannel.2.Profitability:Maintain or improve profitability margins within the modern tradechannel.3.MarketShare: Grow market share within the assigned product categories inthe modern tradechannel.4.AccountManagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with keyaccountmanagers.5.CategoryManagement: Optimize product assortment pricing and promotions tomaximize categorysales.6.TradeMarketing: Develop and execute effective trade marketing campaignsthat drive sales and brandawareness.7.SalesTeam Performance: (if applicable) Motivate and develop the salesteam to achieve their individual and teamtargets.8.DataAnalysis: Regularly analyse sales data and market trends toidentify areas forimprovement.9.Reportingand Communication: Prepare clear and concise reports to communicateperformance and insights to seniormanagement.10.NewProduct Launches: Successfully launch new products within themodern trade channel.Key Performance Indicators(KPIs):1.Sales growthpercentage vs.target.2.Profitmargin within the modern tradechannel.3.Marketshare percentage in assigned productcategories.4.Numberof key account meetingsconducted.5.Categorysales growthpercentage.6.Returnon investment (ROI) for trade marketingcampaigns.7.Salesteam achievement rate vs.target.8.Number ofsales reportsgenerated.9.Timelinessand accuracy ofreports.10.Successrate of new product launches within the modern tradechannel.
Qualifications:Education: Bachelor s degree in businessadministration Marketing or a related field (MBApreferred).Experience: 7 years of experience in FMCGsales and/or marketing with a focus on the modern tradechannel. Skills:Strong communication negotiation analytical andrelationshipbuilding skills. Excellent time management andorganizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRMsoftware is a plus.Knowledge: Deep understanding of the FMCGindustry and the modern trade landscape. Knowledge of categorymanagement principles and trade marketingpractices.Additional DesirableSkills: Experience inmanaging a sales team.Experience with trade promotion planning andexecution. Provenability to develop and managebudgets.DesiredCertifications:Professional certifications in sales ormarketing (e.g. Certified Professional Salesperson (CPS)Professional Marketing Certification(PMC))
