Job Summary : We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Purchase as an Sr.

Engineer, specializing in Mechanical Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background

in Purchase/ Vendor Development, and a proven ability to drive insightful decision-making through

detailed reporting related to Purchase. This role requires a strategic thinker with Negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:

- Lead a team of engineers and executives engaged in the Supply Chain of Machine Shop input

materials, including Castings, Raw Steels, Metal Cutting job-work, Heat Treatment job-work, Surface

Coating job-work, etc.

2. Demand Planning:

- Receive demand plans from upstream sources and convert them into a delivery schedule for the

machine shop.

- Distribute delivery schedules within the existing pool of vendors.

3. On-Time Delivery and Quality Assurance:

- Ensure on-time delivery of materials to the machine shop.

- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes in collaboration with vendors.

4. Risk Management:

- Identify capacity and capability risks within the existing pool of vendors.

- Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks.

5. Inventory and Cost Control:

- Implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels.

- Control costs associated with the supply chain without compromising quality and delivery

timelines.

6. Order Management:

- Oversee the entire order management process, from initiation to fulfilment.

- Streamline and optimize ordering procedures for efficiency.

Qualifications:

- B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Outsourcing of steels, castings

in machined and un-machined components in a reputed Manufacturing organization.

- Hands-on exposure to SAP or equivalent ERP software and Management Information Systems (MIS)

in Materials Management

Required skills set:

- Proven experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Outsourcing within the manufacturing sector.

- Familiarity with SAP or equivalent ERP software and MIS in Materials Management.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Thorough understanding of demand planning and order fulfilment processes.

- Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices.

- Analytical mind-set with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
