Job Description

* Engineering graduate with 2+ years experience
* Experience in Telecom Network Operation Centre supporting layer 1 and 2 operations
* Experience on DWDM, Carrier Ethernet Products from multiple vendors and knowledge of different EMS & NMS tools
* Transmission Network Monitoring System; standard troubleshooting activities that are performed at transmission nodes
* Knowledge on functionality of transmission media test equipment (Optical light meter, power meter, Optical Time Domain Reflectometer - OTDR)
* Immediate fault isolation and resolution capability. 
* Alarm correlation and impact analysis, Root Cause Analysis and recommended action to resolve network issues.
* Knowledge of performance and traffic analysis methodologies & tools
* Complete knowledge of architecture and functioning of the specific network elements
* Complete knowledge of overall network operations, network inventory and activity flows
* Knowledge of all relevant protocols handled by specific network elements
* Good understanding of the network elements to be monitored.

Minimum qualification & experience

Graduate with 2-5 years of experience

Other knowledge/skills

Demonstration of problem-solving skills Prior experience in providing technical support in fast paced, high availability, 24X7 environments. Knowledge of network, operation systems

Key Responsibilities

Maintaining, administering, upgrading, and troubleshooting network tools and equipment Assisting with and implementing installations as required for new and existing customer and internal projects inclusive of - terminations, testing and labelling of most common transmission mediums, hardware installations etc. Ensure SLA are achieved and work proactively to maintain the same. Conduct vulnerability assessments for networks, Servers, applications, and operating systems Conduct network security audits and scanning on a predetermined basis. Compile and track vulnerabilities over time for metrics purposes. Timely upgradation of all the tools used and their related documents like SOPs etc.
