You will be a keymember of the Platform Web team which owns responsibility forengineering tools and process and features that affect the entirewebsite. We think its the most important thing to get right for our265 million customers.

What Youll BeDoing

  • Designing anddelivering code thats readable maintainable testable scalablereusable and efficient
  • Working in an Agileteam with engineers designers and product managers to solveproblems as part of a team
  • Thinking from thecustomers perspective to recommend design improvements
  • Collaborating with backend teams to designeffective and understandable APIs
  • Followingestablished architecture patterns and suggesting improvements
  • Implementing new features according tospecifications
  • Participating in code reviewsfor yourself and others
  • Investigating andfixing bugs
  • Building unit and UI tests
  • Learning and implementing the latesttechnologies
  • Mentoring fellow engineers


Requirements

  • Bachelorsdegree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience as a software engineer
  • Great HTML CSS and Javascript skills
  • Caching logging performance tuning andmonitoring
  • Solid understanding of monorepo andresponsive design
  • Experience using GitHub
  • Unit testing best practices and patterns
  • CI/CD systems such as TeamCity or Jenkins
  • Comfortable working in a distributed team andcommunicating asynchronously
  • Communicate inspoken and written English
