As such the Sr. Project Manager drives all aspects of the project activity including collaborating and coordinating across AHEAD Managed Services and client business segments. Manages project scope, defines work plan, resource needs, timeline, and project deliverables. The Project Manager manages project resources to complete projects on time and within budget. Keeps project team and AHEAD leadership updated as to project status and risk factors. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables for completeness.

Roles and Responsibilities

Executes all IT transition and transformation activities designated in support of the Managed Services organization. Defines and manages project workstreams, schedules and leads workstream meetings, tracks action items, issues, and risks, and provide status updates. Reviews operational processes and coordinates and authors communications. Drives the development and execution of the project plan by working with the different project workstreams to define, sequence and estimate duration of project activities and duration of schedule to meet project objectives. Manages all aspects of the project execution including scope, requirements gathering, risk assessment, project planning, change control and status reporting. Manages the identification, resolution, and escalation of project issues and risks. Plans and executes project communications to ensure timely and accurate distribution of information, documentation, and issue resolution to all appropriate team members. Ensures adherence to AHEAD’s standards, processes, and policies for all projects.  Acts as a customer advocate during client transition and transformations. Develops and follows standard SOPs for all IT transition and transformation projects. Documents ITSM processes, procedures, and other relevant information as a reference document for client stakeholders and AHEAD resources. 

Qualifications

Understands and applies the principles, concepts, theories, and standards of IT Project Management using Waterfall methodologies. Knowledgeable of industry project management best practices (, Project Management Body of Knowledge - PMBOK). Understands and applies the principles, concepts, theories, and best practices of ITIL. Strong ability to independently manage medium to high risk, high complexity, and high visibility projects. Works on assignments where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making choices, recommendations, or decisions. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment on business matters. Must be adept with the use of negotiation techniques to reach agreement when there are widely differing viewpoints. Effectively facilitate interaction with executive level clients. Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management, and time management skills. Assists with the development and implementation of process documentation. Able to consistently set clear expectations, manage team performance, and build high morale among team members. Successfully maintain confidentiality and carry out assignments that are sensitive in nature. 

Experience and Certifications

5+ years of relevant IT Project Management experience (combination with ITSM experience preferred) Project Management Certification (, PMP, PRINCE2) preferred. ServiceNow experience is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate ability to manage project budgets and timelines. Possess advanced skills in the use of project management software.
