PositionOverview: As a Remote Publicist you will play acrucial role in crafting and executing public relations strategiesthat generate positive media coverage for our clients. You will beresponsible for building and maintaining relationships withjournalists editors influencers and other key media contactsensuring that our clients stories are told in a compelling andimpactful way. This role offers the flexibility of remote workallowing you to contribute from anywhere while being a key playerin our PR team. Ideally you are based in the Los Angeles area asmany of our clients and media contacts are located here but we areopen to candidates from otherlocations.
KeyResponsibilities:

• Developand maintain strong relationships with journalists editors bloggersinfluencers and other media professionals across variousindustries.
• Identify and target relevant mediaoutlets and contacts for pitching client stories ensuring thatpitches are tailored to each outlets audience andstyle.
• Continuously monitor media landscapes toidentify new opportunities for client exposure and ensure ourstrategies align with the latest trends.
• Managemedia inquiries coordinate interviews and provide clients withmedia training and support to ensure they are prepared for publicappearances.
• Serve as the primary point ofcontact for a portfolio of clients building and maintaining strongtrusting relationships.
• Understand each clients unique brand goals and challenges to develop and execute tailoredPR strategies that meet theirobjectives.
• Provide regular updates and reportsto clients detailing the progress of PR campaigns media coverageachieved and ongoing opportunities forexposure.
• Offer strategic counsel and crisismanagement support to clients when necessary helping them navigatepotential PR challenges.
• Craft compelling pressreleases media pitches bylined articles case studies and other PRmaterials that effectively communicate clientmessages.
• Develop and distribute press kitsmedia alerts and other promotional materials asneeded.
• Work with clients to create and refinemessaging that aligns with their brand and resonates with targetaudiences.
• Collaborate with the social mediateam to ensure PR efforts are integrated with social mediastrategies maximizing the impact ofboth.
• Develop comprehensive PR campaigns thatinclude media outreach event planning influencer partnerships andother tactics designed to generate buzz and mediacoverage.
• Plan and execute media events pressconferences and product launches ensuring all details aremeticulously managed to create a seamless experience for mediaattendees.
• Analyze the effectiveness of PRcampaigns using metrics such as media impressions sentimentanalysis and client feedback to measure success and refine futurestrategies.
• Stay uptodate with industry newstrends and best practices to ensure that our PR strategies remaincuttingedge and effective.
• Conduct marketresearch to identify emerging opportunities for client exposuresuch as new media outlets digital platforms or industryevents.
• Provide thought leadership within theagency by sharing insights and recommendations based on yourresearch and experience.
• Work closely withother members of the PR team including account managers contentcreators and social media specialists to ensure that all clientcampaigns are cohesive and aligned with overall brandmessaging.
• Participate in regular team meetingsbrainstorming sessions and strategy workshops to contribute yourideas and expertise.
• Mentor and guide juniorteam members sharing your knowledge and experience to help themdevelop their skills and succeed in theirroles.

Qualifications:

• Minimumof 35 years of experience in public relations preferably within anagency setting or working with multiple clients across variousindustries.
• Proven track record of securingmedia coverage across print digital and broadcast outlets with aportfolio of successful placements.
• Experiencemanaging client relationships and executing PR campaigns from startto finish.
• Exceptional writing and editingskills with the ability to craft clear compelling messages thatresonate with target audiences.
• Strong mediarelations skills including the ability to pitch stories effectivelymanage media inquiries and build lasting relationships withjournalists.
• Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively withclients team members and mediacontacts.
• Strategic thinking and problemsolvingabilities with a proactive approach to identifying opportunitiesand addressing challenges.
• Highly organized anddetailoriented with the ability to manage multiple projects anddeadlines simultaneously.
• Familiarity with themedia landscape including key publications blogs influencers andjournalists relevant to our clientsindustries.
• Understanding of social mediaplatforms and their role in PR with the ability to integrate socialmedia strategies into broader PRcampaigns.
• Knowledge of SEO and digitalmarketing best practices as they relate to PR with an understandingof how to optimize content for search and onlinevisibility.
• Proficiency in PR and mediamonitoring tools (e.g. Cision Meltwater Muck Rack) and CRMsoftware.
• Comfortable using digitalcommunication tools (e.g. Zoom Slack) and project managementsoftware (e.g. Asana Trello) to collaborate with remoteteams.
• Selfmotivated and able to workindependently with a strong sense of responsibility andaccountability.
• Adaptable and open to changewith the ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamicenvironment.
• Passionate about public relationsand committed to staying current with industry trends and bestpractices.
