CIVIL 3D Modeler

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Civil 3D Junior Modeler. As a Junior Modeler, you will work under the guidance of experienced professionals to create accurate and detailed civil engineering models using Autodesk Civil 3D software. Your role will involve assisting in the development of 3D models, producing drawings and designs, and supporting the project team in various civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the creation and modification of 3D models using Autodesk Civil 3D software.
2. Collaborate with senior modelers and engineers to understand project requirements and develop accurate design models.
3. Create and maintain civil engineering drawings, including plan views, profiles, sections, and details.
4. Assist in the production of construction documents, quantity take-offs, and material specifications.
5. Perform quality checks on models and drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to project standards.
6. Support the project team by providing technical assistance and participating in design coordination meetings.
7. Collaborate with other disciplines, such as surveyors and architects, to integrate their data into the civil engineering models.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry standards, best practices, and software advancements related to Civil 3D modeling.
9. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity within the modeling team.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. Proficiency in using Autodesk Civil 3D software for civil engineering modeling and design.
3. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, including grading, alignments, profiles, and cross-sections.
4. Familiarity with civil engineering drawings, standards, and terminology.
5. Basic knowledge of land surveying techniques and data integration.
6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in model creation and documentation.
7. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with professionals from various disciplines.
8. Good communication skills to convey ideas and information effectively.
9. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
10. Prior experience or internships in civil engineering modeling or related roles is a plus.
