Roleand Responsibilities:
The IBM MQ Admin isresponsible for providing software administration for IBM WebSphereMQ Message Broker and Apache Tomcat software environments. Thisincludes offering technical assistance and support for incomingqueries and issues related to the aforementioned software products.The role also involves maintaining the daytoday operationalfunctions of the software products such as creating new applicationserver instances creating new queues within IBM WebSphere MQperforming code deployments and writing shell scripts. The IBM MQAdmin is also expected to perform root cause analysis to identifythe nature of software environment issues follow up on openproblems to ensure adequate resolution manage key performancestatistics of the software products and examine system logs todiagnoseissues.
CandidateQualifications:
The ideal candidate shouldpossess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related fieldwith a minimum of 5 years of experience in software administrationfor IBM WebSphere MQ Message Broker and Apache Tomcat. Stronganalytical and problemsolving skills along with the ability to workeffectively in a team environment areessential.
