Designation:Collection ManagerCredit
Collectionsmanagers oversee the credit and collections activities of anorganization. They manage the collection of outstanding invoiceswhile enforcing company policy. Managers also lead a team of staffmembers to ensure the collections department isefficient.
JobResponsibilities
- Coordinateactivities of staff members to ensure a smooth and efficientdepartment that reduces the number of cases that areoverlooked.
- Overseethe collection of outstanding credit and invoices to minimizeprofit loss while ensuring it is handled appropriately and percompanypolicy.
- Createand implement strategies to increase the number of successfulcollections on outstandingdebt.
- Recruithire train and evaluate staff members within the collectionsdepartment to ensure a sufficient number of staff members areavailable to handle theworkload.
- Developgoals that complement the overarching business goals of the companyand coordinate staff to continually meet and exceedgoals.
- Runreports and analyze data pertaining to the department and sharewith executive staff and managers of department staff asneeded.
- Communicatewith clients to build and maintain a strong working relationshipand reduce the number of clients who stop working with thecompany.
- Implementcredit policies and procedures that retain a smooth running of thedepartment and avoid excessive creditlimits.
