Title: Senior Manager, Government Partnerships at Trask: Empowering Positive Change

Introduction:

We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our team as a Senior Manager, Government Partnerships. This crucial role will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships with government entities to support our mission of creating a more sustainable, equitable, and inclusive world.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute government partnership strategy:
- Identify key opportunities for collaborations with local, regional, and national government entities.
- Define strategic objectives and targets for government partnerships.
- Establish clear metrics and KPIs to measure the success of our partnerships in achieving desired outcomes.

2. Build and maintain relationships with government stakeholders:
- Establish and nurture relationships with government officials, policymakers, and regulators.
- Act as the key contact person for government partners and maintain regular communication to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Understand the government's priorities and identify areas where Trask can offer value and support.

3. Lead partnership initiatives:
- Proactively identify potential areas of collaboration with government entities that align with Trask's focus areas.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to design and implement partnership initiatives.
- Develop proposals, pitches, and presentations to showcase Trask's capabilities and value proposition to government stakeholders.

4. Monitor policy and regulatory landscapes:
- Stay up-to-date with changes in government policies, regulations, and legislation relevant to Trask's business and mission.
- Analyze potential impacts on Trask and propose proactive strategies to navigate and leverage these changes.
- Participate in relevant industry forums and conferences to maintain a strong understanding of the government landscape.

5. Drive advocacy efforts:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute advocacy campaigns that align with Trask's goals and government priorities.
- Proactively engage with government entities to raise awareness of Trask's initiatives and obtain support for our mission.
- Represent Trask in relevant industry associations and committees to advocate for policy changes that facilitate positive social and environmental impact.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Extensive experience (X+ years) in government relations, policy, or public affairs, preferably in a similar industry or sector.
- Strong understanding of government processes, policies, and decision-making frameworks.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with government entities and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to different audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and to influence internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for sustainability, social impact, and creating positive change in the world.
