About our Consumer Facing Team

Our Consumer Facing Design Team is at the forefront of creating exceptional travel experiences across Hotel Accommodations, Homes, Reviews, Content & Localization. We’re on a mission to craft a cutting-edge booking platform prioritizing choice, value, user-friendliness, and personalization for our customers booking across our platform.

The Lead Product Designer, Consumer Facing at Agoda is responsible for:

As the Lead Product Designer, you’ll be responsible for helping drive a vision for both shaping and executing the vision for accommodation funnels that directly engage our customers. We’re looking to recruit an experienced and passionate talent to join us in our mission. You possess the skills to create holistic products and know how to plan launching delightful experiences that people will love. Join us in building amazing new ways that inspire the world to make their ideas a reality

In this role, you’ll strike a delicate balance between user-centric design and business objectives. You’ll empower your team to advocate for the user while aligning their efforts with our overarching business goals and KPIs. Your influence will extend beyond the design realm as you champion the user and business needs, driving forward industry-leading UX solutions for our accommodation products at Agoda.

Day to day, it looks like: 

Establish the strategic direction and product vision for our most complex problems, including the future of our product look and feel/design language and bridging the gap between vision and execution. Be at the forefront of major design initiatives and broadcast the efforts of the design team across Pinterest. Set and refine the design quality bar, in partnership with design leadership, through our principles and design system. Be responsible for mentoring and helping grow talent within the team. Driving design vs business objectives and measurement alignment on core product initiatives that design team or product team drives You ensure successful execution by your team. You surface and address questions, bottlenecks, dependencies, and conflicts as they arise, working with stakeholders when needed. You ensure high quality design decisions are made. You maintain and apply a process for effective design.  Leading projects and groups to define and sell a coherent medium to long term vision, with milestones and short term actions to get there. Is building the design organization as a focus for wider company vision and strategy. You represent your team upwards to your manager: you ensure the team’s priorities are well understood, you advocate for them, and you flag any underperformers, stakeholder misalignments, or other challenges they face. Partnering with a design leadership team to help shape management practices, and mentoring other design leaders to put those in practice
