The Workplace Technologies team has a global responsibility providing 24x7 service and support for messaging technologies used by nearly 100,000 users.

The Messaging Infrastructure Engineer reports to the Director of Enterprise Messaging and will directly support the Global Messaging environment.

· Direct Exchange Server or O365 administration support.

o Mailbox administration support through portal and PowerShell (basic command understanding)

o Migration support (PST export/import, tracking/validation, mailbox moves, basic PowerShell understating)

o Experience with MFCMAPI

o In-depth understating and troubleshooting Office Outlook and configurations.

o In-depth understanding of mail routing

o Understanding of Client and Transport rules and policies configuration

· Email/Messaging Gateway support.

o Experience with ProofPoint

o Email routing troubleshooting

o Transaction log review for actions take on an email (SPAM, Blocked, Quarantined, etc.)

o Understanding of TLS (add/remove/validate enabled)

· Email Journaling support

o Basic understanding of email journaling with Enterprise Vault or compatible journaling software

o Understanding of PST export and ingestion

· Microsoft Productivity Suite support

o Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues within the suite of products

· Leadership experience with developing Jr Admins

o Tracking and assigning tickets

o Escalation support for in-depth troubleshooting

o Prioritization of Tickets

o Major Incident Management response (outage support)

o Updating, reviewing, and creating Knowledge Base documentation

o Process improvement review (automation or reduction in time to resolve)

· Provides mid-level technical expertise to maintain environments and troubleshoot issues

· Assists as a liaison between key project managers and vendor technical contacts

· Ability to clearly communicate software delivery strategy and progress to key stakeholders

· Assists with engineering technology solutions to assure compliance and security standards are being adhered to and technical objectives are being met

· On call rotation

Qualifications

· 8+ years of Experience with rollout, troubleshooting, and support of and enterprise messaging environment

· Understanding of Office 365 fundamentals and structure

· Experience in prevailing industry architecture and engineering methodologies - ITIL preferred

· Ability to think outside the box to solve complex problems

· Experience with network and server fundamentals

· Preferred experience working with vendor teams to provide support and systems integration

· Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or has equivalent work experience
