As a Trims Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing Automotive trims components for automotive vehicles. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure that trims meet aesthetic, functional, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop interior or exterior trim components such as door panels, instrument panels, consoles, and headliners etc.

• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using NX software based on design specifications and requirements.

• Collaborate with styling, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure that trims meet design intent, performance targets, and manufacturability requirements.

• Conduct feasibility studies and design reviews to assess the viability of proposed trim concepts and make recommendations for improvements.

• Perform engineering calculations and analyses to validate the structural integrity, material selection, and performance of trims.

• Develop and maintain design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.

• Support prototype builds and testing activities to evaluate trim performance and identify areas for optimization.

• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes related to automotive interior or exterior trims.


Education and Experience:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.

• 5 to 7 years of experience in automotive interior trim design and development.

• Proficiency in software experience in NX is highly mandatory.

• Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
