Job Description

A Charitable Hospital in Baru Sahib, Himachal Pradesh seeks application for Psychiatrist. A psychiatrist is responsible for providing psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients with mental health disorders. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. The Psychiatrist will also participate in clinical supervision, case conferences, and quality improvement activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health care.

•  Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to accurately diagnose mental health disorders.
  
• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, incorporating a combination of medication management, psychotherapy, and other evidence-based interventions.
  
• Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, making adjustments to dosage and treatment regimens as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
  
• Provide psychotherapy or counseling services using evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
  
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and case managers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  
• Participate actively in clinical supervision and case conferences to review patient progress, discuss treatment strategies, and address any challenges or concerns.
  
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and medication management in compliance with regulatory standards.
  
• Educate and support patients and their families, offering insights into mental health conditions, treatment options, and effective coping strategies.
  
• Engage in quality improvement activities to enhance the delivery of mental health services and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
  
• Stay abreast of advancements in the field of psychiatry through ongoing continuing education, professional development activities, and participation in relevant conferences or seminars.
  

Requirements

• DnB/MD Degree 5+ years of relevant experience from a premier institute
  
• Valid medical license to practice Psychiatry in the state of employment.
  
• Experience working in a mental health clinic or similar setting preferred.
  
• Strong clinical skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
  
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and promoting recovery-oriented practices.
  
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in psychiatry and familiarity with relevant treatment guidelines and protocols.
