Responsibilities

As an Automation Test Specialist, you use your experience and technical knowledge in Software Engineering to:

  • Create effective and achievable IT test strategies and operating models using modern software development and quality practices.

  • Lead efforts to consistently apply and improve Telstra Test strategies, architectural standards, and operating systems to enhance customer and stakeholder experiences.

  • Collaborate with external vendors and organizations to develop and implement new testing strategies in a quickly changing marketplace.

  • Build strong relationships with internal IT and business managers through authentic engagement and networking skills.

  • Use research and problem-solving methods to generate insights and improve Telstra testing processes.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and SAFe – preferably 7+ years of experience - understand and implement Agile values and principles, facilitate agile ceremonies, coach/mentor teams.

  • Hands on experience working on open-source test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured, Serenity, Cypress, Gauge, and Cucumber

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug software, systems/devices.

  • Understanding of DevOps principles, including Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)

Desirable

• Skilled in OSS/BSS in Telecom industry.
• Holds a degree in IT, Business, or Engineering.
• Familiar with design patterns, architecture, and secure coding techniques.
• Desirable to have exposure to Infrastructure as code practices.
