Job Description
– Finance Controller Position: Finance Controller Department: Finance & Accounts Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO
Location:
Mumbai Role Summary Responsible for managing the company’s overall financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting, strong financial controls, timely reporting, cash-flow management, statutory compliance, and effective financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, banking, and general ledger.
* Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
* Monitor cash flow, working capital, receivables, payables, and fund requirements.
* Manage budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control.
* Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, production costing, and profitability analysis, particularly for copper and metal products.
* Ensure proper accounting and controls for purchases, sales, inventory, imports, exports, and foreign-exchange transactions.
* Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other applicable statutory requirements.
* Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, banks, and financial institutions.
* Establish and strengthen internal financial controls and approval processes.
* Review financial performance and provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to management.
* Identify financial risks, control leakages, and improve overall financial efficiency.
* Support management in CAPEX planning, financing, investment decisions, and business expansion.
* Ensure accurate and timely year-end closing and audit completion. Key Skills & Qualifications
* CA / CMA / MBA Finance preferred.
* 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing, metals, recycling, or trading.
* Strong knowledge of financial accounting, costing, taxation, GST, MIS, budgeting, and working capital management.
* Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel.
* Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
