Full-time Role Overview We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Assistant General Manager (Plant Head) to lead our AAC Blocks manufacturing plant at Jaggayyapeta, Andhra Pradesh. The ideal candidate should have 15–20 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in the AAC blocks or a similar building materials industry. The candidate will be responsible for overall plant operations, production planning, quality control, maintenance coordination, cost optimization, team management, MIS reporting, and ensuring efficient plant performance. Key Roles & Responsibilites
• Plant Operations Management: Manage overall AAC blocks plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance coordination, dispatch, and safety, ensuring smooth and efficient plant functioning
• Production Planning and Control: Plan, monitor, and control daily, weekly, and monthly production activities to achieve targets while maintaining product quality, productivity, and operational efficiency
• AAC Manufacturing Process Management Oversee the complete AAC block manufacturing process, including raw material preparation, batching, mixing, casting, pre-curing, cutting, autoclaving, and finished goods handling.
• MIS and Production Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze daily production reports, monthly MIS reports, KPI dashboards, material consumption reports, and plant performance reports for management review.
• Cost Control and Productivity Improvement: Monitor raw material consumption, energy usage, manpower productivity, and operational expenses. Implement cost-saving measures to reduce wastage, production losses, and manufacturing costs.
• Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure consistent AAC block quality by monitoring production parameters, implementing quality control procedures, and maintaining compliance with applicable industry standards and customer specifications.
• Maintenance and Equipment Management: Coordinate with maintenance teams to implement preventive maintenance schedules, resolve technical issues, minimize equipment breakdowns, and improve machinery availability.
• Team Leadership and Manpower Management: Lead and supervise production managers, engineers, supervisors, technicians, and plant workers. Ensure effective manpower utilization, team development, discipline, and achievement of operational targets.
• Inventory and Material Management: Monitor raw material availability, inventory levels, and consumption patterns. Coordinate with procurement and stores teams to ensure uninterrupted production and optimal resource utilization.
• Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordinate with procurement, stores, quality, maintenance, sales, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth workflow, timely production, and efficient dispatch operations.
• Safety and Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, environmental regulations, statutory requirements, and applicable manufacturing standards to maintain a safe working environment.
• Process Improvement and Technical Troubleshooting: Identify operational bottlenecks, investigate production issues, implement corrective actions, and introduce process improvements to enhance plant efficiency and product quality.
• Budgeting and Plant Performance Monitoring: Monitor production costs, operational budgets, plant performance indicators, and resource utilization to achieve business targets and improve overall plant profitability.
• Management Reporting and Decision-Making: Present regular production updates, operational performance reports, cost analysis, and improvement plans to senior management. Recommend strategic actions to improve plant performance.
• Continuous Improvement and Business Growth: Drive initiatives to increase production capacity, improve operational efficiency, reduce downtime, optimize manufacturing costs, and support the long-term growth of the AAC blocks manufacturing business. Qualification & Experience
• Any Degree; a degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, or Production Engineering is preferred.
• 15–20 years in manufacturing, with relevant AAC blocks industry experience strongly preferred.
• Previous experience as a Plant Head, Factory Manager, AGM – Plant Operations, or a similar senior leadership role is desirable. Key Skills
