About the role
We're looking for senior backend engineers to join the engineering team of a US-based B2B e-commerce client. You'll build and scale backend services for a high-traffic commerce platform and work closely with the client's US-based engineering team. Responsibilities Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in Go Build event-driven and streaming workflows using Kafka Design data models and write efficient queries in PostgreSQL Deploy and run services on AWS, focusing on reliability, performance and monitoring Work with front-end, product and QA teams on integrations and API contracts Take part in code reviews, technical design discussions and production support Write clean, tested and well-documented code Must-have skills 7+ years of backend development experience Strong hands-on experience with Go (Golang) in production systems Experience with Kafka or similar event streaming platforms Strong PostgreSQL
skills:
schema design, query optimization and transactions Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda or similar) Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with microservices Solid understanding of concurrency, distributed systems and performance tuning Good to have E-commerce or B2B commerce platform experience Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform CI/CD using GitHub Actions or similar Monitoring tools such as New Relic, Sentry or Datadog Experience working directly with US clients
Working hours
Must overlap with US Eastern Time until about 2 PM ET (roughly 6:30 PM – 12:30 AM IST) Flexibility for releases or production issues when needed.
