Job Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP Materials Management (MM) Consultant The candidate should have strong functional expertise in SAP Materials Management, Procurement, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, and Materials Planning, with hands-on implementation experience in SAP GROW S/4HANA Public Cloud and SAP RISE S/4HANA Private Cloud. Experience in mining, metals, manufacturing, steel, or other capital-intensive industries will be an added advantage. The consultant will be responsible for implementing and optimizing end-to-end procurement, material management, inventory, and warehouse processes across mining and pellet plant operations. 2.

Key Responsibilities
SAP Materials Management & Procurement
• Lead SAP MM implementation, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
• Configure end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, including Purchase Requisitions, RFQs, Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts, Invoice Verification, and Vendor Payments integration.
• Configure purchasing organizations, purchasing groups, plants, storage locations, and procurement structures.
• Implement procurement approval workflows, release strategies, and purchasing controls.
• Configure subcontracting, stock transport orders, consignment procurement, and service procurement.
• Support supplier master data and Business Partner configuration. Inventory & Warehouse Management
• Configure Material Master, Material Types, Material Groups, Valuation Classes, and Inventory Management processes.
• Implement Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, Transfer Posting, Stock Transfers, Reservations, and Physical Inventory.
• Support warehouse operations, material movement, and stock reconciliation.
• Configure inventory tracking across Central Warehouse, Mine Warehouse, Concentrator, and Pellet Plant storage locations.
• Support batch management, material traceability, and inventory valuation.
• Coordinate warehouse process integration with SAP EWM or other warehouse management solutions, where applicable. Mining & Metals Industry Processes
• Support procurement and inventory management for mining equipment, spare parts, consumables, raw materials, and maintenance materials.
• Configure material movement and stock tracking across mining, beneficiation, and pellet production facilities.
• Support inventory management for iron ore, concentrates, pellets, and other production materials.
• Integrate procurement and material consumption processes with SAP Plant Maintenance (EAM), Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), and Project Systems (PS).
• Support material planning and procurement for capital projects and plant maintenance operations. SAP Integration & Implementation
• Conduct Fit-to-Standard workshops and business requirement discussions.
• Configure integration between SAP MM and FICO, SD, PP, QM, EAM, and PS.
• Support automatic account determination, material valuation, and inventory postings.
• Prepare Business Process Design documents, functional specifications, and configuration documentation.
• Support Material Master, Supplier Master, Purchasing Information Records, and opening stock data migration.
• Conduct Unit Testing, Integration Testing, UAT, and end-user training.
• Support cutover planning, go-live activities, and post-go-live hypercare. 3. Required Skills & Experience
• 5–8 years of SAP MM functional experience, including hands-on SAP S/4HANA implementation.
• Experience implementing SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud (GROW with SAP) and Private Cloud (RISE with SAP).
• Participation in at least two end-to-end SAP implementations, preferably including S/4HANA Cloud.
• Strong expertise in Procurement, Inventory Management, Material Master, Vendor Master / Business Partner, and Invoice Verification.
• Experience configuring procurement workflows, release strategies, stock transfers, and material valuation.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and physical inventory processes.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications, SAP Activate methodology, and Fit-to-Standard workshops.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA data migration tools and master data validation.
• Strong integration knowledge across SAP FICO, EAM, PP, QM, SD, and PS.
• Excellent communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage functional deliverables and work with international business stakeholders. 4. Educational Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, Information Technology, or a related discipline (Mandatory).
• MBA in Supply Chain Management or Operations will be an added advantage.
• SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement certification preferred.
• Valid US B1 or H1B visa preferred but not mandatory. 5. Preferred Industry Experience Candidates with SAP MM implementation experience in the following industries will be preferred:

Location:
Mumbai Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel to the USA for project workshops, implementation, testing, go-live, and hypercare support, subject to business requirements and appropriate visa/work authorization. 7. Preferred Candidate Profile We are looking for a technically strong, hands-on SAP MM Consultant capable of independently managing procurement, inventory management, and warehouse-related implementation activities. The ideal candidate should have strong SAP configuration skills, experience in SAP S/4HANA Cloud environments, and the ability to work closely with procurement, warehouse, finance, production, and maintenance teams. Special Preference: Candidates with experience implementing SAP MM in mining, iron ore processing, pellet manufacturing, and large industrial operations will be highly preferred.
