About the Role
Anived Capital is looking to hire a Junior Equity Research Analyst for its Global Equities team, covering publicly listed companies in India and overseas markets. We follow a fundamental, value-oriented investment approach with a three-to-five-year investment horizon. The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the investment team to analyse businesses, build and maintain financial models, evaluate valuations, and monitor portfolio companies and industries. This is a hands-on role offering substantial learning opportunities and the potential to grow into independently covering companies and sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse publicly listed companies, including their business models, competitive positioning, industry structure, management quality, capital allocation and key risks.
Review annual reports, financial statements, earnings releases, investor presentations and conference-call transcripts.
Build and maintain integrated three-statement financial models, forecasts, valuations and scenario analyses.
Update company models following quarterly results and identify material changes to the investment thesis.
Monitor company-specific developments, industry trends and relevant macroeconomic developments.
Prepare clear and concise research notes and presentations.
Provide analytical support on other research projects undertaken by the investment team. Minimum Requirements
One to two years of full-time professional work experience after graduation. Candidates without at least one year of full-time work experience will not be considered. Internships do not count toward this requirement.
Strong understanding of the income statement, balance sheet and cash-flow statement, including how the three statements interconnect.
Hands-on experience building or maintaining integrated three-statement financial models.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a high degree of speed, accuracy and attention to detail.
Sound analytical and accounting skills.
Ability to process large amounts of information and communicate conclusions clearly and concisely.
Demonstrated interest in public equities, businesses and capital markets.
A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, commerce or another relevant discipline. Preferred Background Prior experience in equity research, investment research, investment banking, valuation, transaction advisory, credit research, audit, accounting or a similarly rigorous analytical role would be preferred. CFA Level I or progress toward the CFA qualification would be an advantage. Selection Process Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a time-bound accounting, financial-modelling and Excel assessment. Please submit your résumé and complete all application screening questions. Incomplete applications may not be considered.
