· Architectural Leadership: Design and implement modular, maintainable backend architectures using Flask Blueprints and Application Factories.
· API Development: Build and document "API-first" contracts using OpenAPI (Swagger) and Pydantic for robust data validation.
· Performance Optimization: Implement caching strategies (Redis), optimize SQLAlchemy 2.x queries, and manage background tasks using Celery.
· Asynchronous Processing: Transition critical paths to asynchronous patterns (using Quart or Flask-specific async features) to improve throughput.
· Cloud & DevOps: Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments via CI/CD pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
· AI Integration: Develop and maintain integrations with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and vector databases for AI-powered features.
· Code Quality: Lead rigorous code reviews, enforce PEP 8 standards, and maintain high test coverage with Pytest.
Technical Requirements
· Core Expertise: 5+ years of professional experience in Python, with at least 3 years focused on Flask.
· Database Mastery: Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy (including migrations via Alembic).
· Frontend Literacy: Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React/Vue) to ensure seamless API integration.
· Security Mindset: Proven experience implementing OAuth2/JWT and protecting against OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
· Modern Tooling: Proficiency with Git, Docker, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
· Messaging: Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka for event-driven microservices.
Soft Skills
· Mentorship: A passion for coaching junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
· Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language for stakeholders.
· Problem Solving: A pragmatic approach to technical debt—knowing when to "build for scale" vs. "ship fast."
