Solar / Generator Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Solar / Generator Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot solar power systems and diesel/petrol generators across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverters, battery storage, as well as generator sets, ATS systems, and routine preventive maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Solar System Duties: Install solar PV systems (rooftop or ground-mount) including modules, inverters, batteries, racking, and wiring. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on solar power systems. Troubleshoot solar system faults (inverters, wiring, panel output, etc.). Conduct performance tests and diagnostics using tools like multimeters, IV curve tracers, and monitoring platforms. Assist in solar commissioning, system testing, and documentation. Follow all local electrical codes, safety standards, and installation protocols. Generator System Duties: Install, maintain, and repair diesel/petrol generators (5 kVA to 500+ kVA). Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (oil/filter changes, belt replacements, etc.). Diagnose and fix electrical and mechanical issues on generators and control panels. Test and troubleshoot ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches) and synchronization panels. Load testing and commissioning of new generator systems. Maintain logs and service records; report faults to supervisors.
