Assess patients’ medical conditions and determine suitable anaesthetic techniques. Administer general, regional, or local anaesthesia during surgical or diagnostic procedures. Monitor and manage patients’ vital signs and responses throughout the procedure. Ensure post-anaesthetic recovery and provide pain management care. Participate in preoperative assessment clinics and provide pre-surgery counselling to patients. Handle emergencies related to anaesthesia or surgical complications. Maintain accurate anaesthetic records and ensure compliance with hospital and medical council standards. Supervise and guide junior doctors, anaesthesia technicians, and nursing staff. Stay updated with the latest anaesthetic practices and contribute to quality improvement programs. Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols in the operation theatre.
