Meeting the world's growing energy needs requires the pursuit of innovations and advancements that deliver a better future for all.About The PositionChevron ENGINE has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Wells Engineer to join the ENGINE Wells team; this role will be based in Chevron's office in Bengaluru.Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.Lead Wells Engineer will provide support across Chevron's portfolio, leveraging digital tools, to deliver process safety, technical, and performance solutions. The role supports global operations including offshore, conventional, and shale & tight asset classes across the entire well lifecycle of drilling, completion, intervention, and abandonment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide day to day direction to team members to deliver results for businessesMentor and provide technical guidance to junior team membersCollaborate with global teams responsible across the enterprise for safely, reliably and efficiently executing all Wells activitiesDeploy and monitor the use of tools, standards, and processes contributing to successful business outcomes for enterprise exploration, Upstream asset classes, and Chevron New Energies (CNE) programsProvide engineering modelling for drilling and completions operations using industry standard software packagesUtilize data, KPIs, and analysis tools to identify opportunities to improve execution practices, transferring these into actionable items for rig teams, monitoring implementation, and ensuring sustainability of performance improvement.Conduct lookbacks and benchmarking analysis using internal and external data sources to identify trends and competitive performance analysisCollaborate closely with stakeholders in digital teams, assets, and central functions to ensure data quality, utilizing analytical tools to report metrics/performanceExplore how AI can be utilized in competitive performance work scopesExecute workflows to support planning for all well phasesAbout YouWe know our greatest resource is the ingenuity, creativity and innovation of our people. Applications from motivated, talented individuals with a keen interest in the energy industry are encouraged.To be considered for this role, applicants should have:Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline with minimum CGPA 7.5Minimum 15 years of work experience in upstream industry as Wells Engineer for major operatorExperience in all aspects of well design, permitting, operations, and associated logisticsDemonstrated knowledge of wells engineering concepts including casing design, subsurface hazards, rig equipment, operational practices, well control, and performance monitoringSkill in running and interpreting engineering models to improve wells performanceExperience evaluating well design & operating parameters through data and trend analysisStrong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work and collaborate effectively with diverse international workforce in a team environmentSignificant time spent on rig or well site as field engineer, company representative, or equivalent field experienceStrong leadership skills with experience managing and developing technical teamsPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with different operations across asset classesDemonstrated ability to work in collaborative environment across geographiesExperience providing support from organizational technical center, remote operations center, or similarWhat we can offer youEverything we do at Chevron is guided by our values and our commitment to The Chevron Way .
