Nuclear Safety Engineer

Job DescriptionOverviewJoin us as a Nuclear Safety Engineer in our Nuclear & Power Division and play a vital role designing complex new schemes to protect our clients' assets. And with a huge variety of projects to work on, you'll have plenty of opportunities to grow and challenge yourself as a consultant.This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.Your roleThe role will entail supporting safety case development during the design, operation, commissioning, operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities and for the production of all nuclear safety documentation as part of the Site Licence Conditions. This may include the following:Hazard/fault identification studies e.g., HAZOP, HAZAN, FMEA, etc.Qualitative and quantitative safety arguments.Safety case development.Deterministic and probabilistic safety assessments.Engineering substantiation.Fault and protection schedules.Hazard categorisation and assessment.Safety case authoring/management/development/production.Fire analysis (nuclear or conventional).As Low as Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) assessment.Engineering change safety justifications.Other key aspects of the role will include assisting in the production of bids and proposals and implementing and contributing to safety initiatives.
