Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Architectural Interior Designer with a strong foundation in the furniture and building materials industry to join our team. As an experienced designer, you will leverage your expertise in material selection, furniture design, and spatial planning to craft functional, innovative, and aesthetically compelling interior environments for residential, commercial, and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Conceptual Design Development: Lead the design process from conceptualization to execution by developing creative and practical interior design solutions for various projects.
Material & Product Expertise: Source, specify, and recommend furniture, building materials, and finishes (flooring, lighting, wall treatments) that align with project goals and budget.
Space Planning & Layouts: Design functional and aesthetically balanced interior spaces, optimizing layouts for both aesthetics and practicality while considering user flow, lighting, and furniture placement.
CAD & 3D Design Software: Create detailed drawings, 3D models, and visualizations using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other design tools to communicate ideas clearly to clients, vendors, and contractors.
Client Interaction & Presentations: Engage with clients directly to understand their vision, provide expert recommendations, and present design concepts for feedback and approval.
Vendor & Supplier Management: Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality materials, furniture, and fixtures. Negotiate pricing and timelines while ensuring quality control and cost-efficiency.
Project Execution & Site Coordination: Oversee project implementation, ensuring design concepts are realized effectively. Coordinate with contractors, site managers, and other design professionals to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
Quality Control & Documentation: Monitor the quality of materials and finishes, ensuring that all installations meet design specifications. Prepare technical specifications, contracts, and other documentation required for procurement and construction.
Sustainability Focus: Promote sustainable design practices and integrate eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient solutions in interior design.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in interior design, with specialized experience in the furniture and building materials industry, especially working with furniture suppliers, materials sourcing, and procurement.
Software Skills: Proficient in industry-standard design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of 3D visualization tools is a plus.
Material Expertise: Strong knowledge of furniture, building materials, finishes, and textiles. In-depth understanding of product applications, durability, and maintenance.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and client expectations. Experience in coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Client-Focused Approach: Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored design solutions.
Attention to Detail: High level of precision in creating design documents and specifications, ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standard.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with sustainable design, LEED certification, or knowledge of eco-friendly building materials.
Experience in custom furniture design or bespoke interior solutions.
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Certification from recognized professional bodies (e.g., NCIDQ, LEED).
