Role Purpose To support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Internal Audit methodology, policies, quality assurance improvement plan and Internal Audit Training programme. This role ensures alignment with professional standards (e.g., IIA Standards), regulatory expectations, and internal governance requirements, while supporting audit teams in delivering high-quality, consistent, and impactful assurance. Role Responsibilities Maintain and enhance the Internal Audit methodology, and templates in line with IIA Standards and industry good practices. Support the delivery of the Internal Audit Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) a key component of which will be the delivery of Quality Assurance Reviews. Provide training, coaching, and guidance to audit teams on methodology, standards, and audit execution. Monitor compliance with audit methodology and drive continuous improvement through feedback and lessons learned. Collaborate across the function to ensure audit practices remain current with industry and regulatory developments. Prepare reports and updates for Internal Audit management on methodology and quality assurance matters. Minimum Requirements Professional qualification such as CIA, CISA or equivalent Accountancy Qualification Proven experience in internal audit, with a strong focus on methodology, quality assurance, or audit standards. In-depth knowledge of IIA Standards, UK Internal Audit Code of Practice, and relevant regulatory frameworks. Experience in designing and implementing audit frameworks, policies, and QA programs. Strong analytical, communication, and engagement skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft PowerPoint, CoPilot, audit management systems and data analytics tools is desirable Demonstrate experience in seeking and implementing new ways of working to make processes run smoother and faster for example experience in the use Data Analytics; AI and / or Agile ways of working Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with all levels of audit and leadership team We recognise that to attract the best talent, we need to be flexible, and we are open to discussing work arrangements with you.
