Azure Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Profile We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Azure DevOps Engineer to support our cloud-hosted applications and manage Azure-based server infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our Azure environment, with a strong focus on application support, server instance lifecycle management, and operational excellence. This vacancy is available at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) based in our Bangalore office. Key Responsibilities: Application Support Responsibilities: • Monitor and maintain the health of Azure-hosted applications and services. • Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with development teams for resolution. • Manage application configurations, deployments, and updates in Azure environments. • Support integration between applications and Azure services (e.g., Azure SQL, App Services, Key Vault, Logic Apps). DevOps Responsibilities: • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. • Automate build, test, and deployment processes using YAML, PowerShell, and Bash. • Manage Azure Repos, Artifacts, and Boards for version control and project tracking. • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep. • Work with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS) for container orchestration and microservices deployment. • Monitor and optimize pipeline performance and deployment reliability. • Integrate security scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube, Snyk) into DevOps workflows. Admin Responsibilities: • Provision and manage Azure resources: VMs, Storage, Networking, App Services, etc. • Configure and maintain Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and IAM policies. • Monitor infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. • Handle backup, disaster recovery, and cost optimization strategies. • Manage hybrid cloud connectivity (VPNs, ExpressRoute, Private Link). • Support incident response, patching, and compliance audits. Operational & Security Responsibilities: • Monitor system performance and availability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards. • Participate in incident response and change management processes. • Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Required Skills & Experience: • 5+ years of strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Services and Azure Administration. • Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS (VMs, networking, storage) and PaaS services. • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash). • Experience with Terraform, ARM templates, and Kubernetes. • Familiarity with Azure networking, security, and monitoring tools. • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and on-prem integration. • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Bicep, Terraform). • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. • Certifications such as: • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert Soft Skills: • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
