Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse requirements, specifications, and technical documents to create comprehensive test cases.
  • Design, document, and execute manual test scenarios for functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla).
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and potential quality risks.
  • Ensure timely execution of test cycles and contribute to release readiness.
  • Support root cause analysis by reproducing reported issues and providing detailed logs.
  • Maintain test case repositories and update them as per application changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of web, mobile, or enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases.
  • Familiarity with defect management and test case management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps).
  • Good knowledge of functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
  • Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing (preferred).
  • Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman and Familiarity with automation concepts will be an added advantage to the profile.
