Job Overview

We're looking for a dynamic
Digital Marketing Manager
based in India to lead our online sales growth. You'll craft and execute targeted marketing strategies to drive traffic, boost conversions, and increase sales, with a focus on achieving the monthly sales target in India's vibrant ethnic wear market. This role is critical for expanding our presence during cultural events like Durga Puja, weddings, and other festivals, connecting with Indian audiences through localized campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Management
    : Design and manage digital marketing campaigns across SEO, PPC (Google Ads, Meta Ads), email marketing, and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp Business, Pinterest) tailored to Indian audiences.
  • Localized Content Strategy
    : Work with content creators to produce culturally relevant content (e.g., reels showcasing sarees during festivals, blogs on Bengali wedding trends) that resonates with Indian customers.
  • Analytics & Optimization
    : Leverage tools like Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, or MoEngage to track KPIs (e.g., customer acquisition cost, return on ad spend, conversion rates), A/B test campaigns, and reduce cart abandonment rates.
  • Social Media & Influencer Partnerships
    : Manage social media channels and collaborate with Indian influencers in fashion, lifestyle, or cultural niches to drive brand awareness and sales. Focus on platforms popular in India like Instagram and YouTube.
  • Retargeting & Retention
    : Implement retargeting campaigns and email/SMS/WhatsApp flows to recover abandoned carts and build customer loyalty, emphasizing repeat purchases for festive seasons.
  • Budget Management
    : Allocate marketing budgets effectively to maximize ROI, prioritizing high-impact channels for India's e-commerce market.
  • Market Research
    : Stay updated on Indian fashion trends, competitor strategies, and regional preferences (e.g., demand for Banarasi vs. Kanjivaram sarees) to position Bangla Biswa as a market leader.

Qualifications

  • Experience
    : 3-5 years in digital marketing, preferably in e-commerce, fashion, or retail, with a focus on the Indian market. Proven success in driving online sales.
  • Skills
    :
  • Expertise in SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media advertising, with a focus on India-specific platforms and trends.
  • Proficiency with tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Razorpay analytics, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and optimize campaigns for Indian audiences.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento.
  • Experience with content tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) for creating localized visuals is a plus.
  • Cultural Fit
    : Deep understanding of Indian culture, especially Bengali traditions, and passion for ethnic fashion (sarees, sherwanis, etc.). Ability to connect with customers during festivals and occasions.
  • Soft Skills
    : Creative, data-driven, excellent communicator (fluent in English; Hindi/Bengali proficiency is a plus), and able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Education
    : Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with influencer marketing in India's fashion or lifestyle space (e.g., working with regional influencers or bloggers).
  • Knowledge of Bengali culture or the ethnic wear market in India. (Not mandatory)
  • Familiarity with India-specific tools like Razorpay, MoEngage, or CleverTap for payments and customer engagement.
  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills for quick, localized content creation.
