Mechanical Fitter

Key Responsibilities

• Assembly and Fabrication: Construct structural components and assemble machinery and industrial equipment by interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Installation: Install new mechanical components, machinery, and industrial equipment.
• Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure they function efficiently and safely. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning or broken parts.
• Tool Operation: Safely and effectively utilize hand and power tools, including grinders, files, and welding equipment.
• Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of fabricated parts and finished products to ensure they meet required dimensions and industry standards.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Collaboration: Work with engineers and other team members to optimize equipment performance and on large-scale projects.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
