About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer who is passionate about building, scaling, and automating data infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Databricks.

You will play a key role in designing, deploying, and optimizing modern data platforms that enable high performance, scalability, and innovation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Databricks & Cloud Platform Management

Administer Databricks workspaces, clusters, and Unity Catalog on GCP.

Manage GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and IAM policies.

Infrastructure Automation & CI/CD

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and automate Databricks deployments.

Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for version control and release management.

Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE).

Data Engineering & Performance Optimization

Develop, monitor, and orchestrate data pipelines using Apache Airflow.

Write and optimize data processing scripts using Python and PySpark.

Conduct code reviews, identify performance bottlenecks, and propose optimized solutions.

Innovation & Collaboration

Research and apply modern data engineering techniques and cloud-native solutions.

Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional analytics teams.

Maintain detailed documentation, runbooks, and platform best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

6–8 years total experience in data or platform engineering.

2–3 years of experience with GCP and/or Databricks.

2–3 years of hands-on experience with Python and PySpark.

Proven experience in automating and monitoring large-scale distributed systems.
