Job Description

Job Summary:

The UI/UX Designer creates excellent end-user interactions and overall experience for those users navigating our data-dense web-based applications and websites. The UI/UX Designer seeks to improve the user experience by suggesting interactions that are simple, useful, scalable, accessible, and visually compelling. They collaborate with teams and individuals across a wide variety of departments as needed: Development Product, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and external clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit extensive knowledge of user needs in Clearwaters industry.
  • Shape the future of our products user interfaces and customer experience.
  • Oversee the development of the company's design philosophies, strategies, and guidelines.
  • Lead a team of UI/UX designers, providing them with direction, feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Present and defend designs to external partners and key stakeholders.
  • Organize user testing and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
  • Drive alignment on design principles and patterns across multiple projects.
  • Identify and analyze industry UI/UX trends and competitor sites.
  • Work with analytics to assess the impact of all UI/UX initiatives.
  • Any other reasonable activity required by management.
Required Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of design software (Figma) and user testing methodologies.
  • Ability to manage a design team.
  • Examples of mentoring less-experienced designers well.
  • Understanding of Angular and React platforms with regards to design practices.
  • Enthusiasm for design work in a software-as-a-service company.
  • Driven by client satisfaction.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage own time and deliver expected results on time.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 10 years of enterprise UI/UX design experience.
  • Multiple years of experience in product leadership roles in accounting, insurance, financial services, financial technology, or data-reporting products.
