Job Purpose:

To lead and manage end-to-end deployment of smart meter installation projects, ensuring timely execution, adherence to quality standards, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination, thereby achieving operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution

  • Prepare detailed project execution plans, timelines, and resource allocation schedules.

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of smart meter installation including site surveys, logistics, installation, testing, and commissioning.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, DISCOMs, and field personnel for seamless operations.

  • Team Management

  • Supervise and guide field engineers, installation teams, and subcontractors.

  • Monitor productivity, adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and training compliance.

  • Stakeholder Coordination

  • Interface with utility clients (DISCOMs), government agencies, and OEMs.

  • Attend review meetings, resolve escalations, and ensure timely communication of progress and bottlenecks.

  • Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to technical standards, statutory norms, and safety regulations.

  • Conduct random audits and ensure quality control of installations and data accuracy.

  • Reporting & MIS

  • Generate daily/weekly/monthly progress reports (installation status, faults, replacements).

  • Track KPIs (target vs achievement, TAT, SLA compliance, etc.) and maintain project dashboards.

  • Risk Management

  • Identify risks or delays in execution and implement corrective/preventive actions.

  • Maintain backup plans for manpower, inventory, and site-level contingencies.
