Senior Application Engineer

We're looking for an
applications engineer
who has the passion and the excitement to grow, innovate, take an active role in product definition, execute the characterization and solve customer problems creatively through their development flow, and provide post production application support to customers.

This role is responsible for application support for our Enterprise Product portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:

• Support with Simplis models and support the application build.
• Answer customer questions and supporting design activities form sampling through production and post production

This further includes:

• Work closely with customers and staying on top of the development cycle.
• Schematic and Layout Review of customer application
• Extracting Gerber files, feeding it into our simulation environment and extracting the best performance of the loop and suggesting the correct configuration.
• Debug of customer problems by re-creating issues in our evaluation boards and/or customer boards
• At-customer site support when needed
• Design and help build the EVMs and evaluation boards to support customer to lab-set up correlation and evaluating the products.
• Create application notes, product using guidelines, helping with test vectors and procedures and proper release of EVM boards for customer consumption on timely manner
• Feed customer inputs and performance differentiation features into datasheet to ensure completeness of datasheet being developed by the product definer
• Perform Bench Characterization for enterprise power products like Controller, power modules and power stages, including bench automation, hardware design and develop test techniques
• Participate in new silicon testing from an application perspective to ensure robustness of the product (i.e. break-the-product test proceedures)
• Work with systems engineer to provide support to early design-in activities especially during sampling phase for new products
• Create custom reference designs targeting relevant applications to be used as customer implementation ideas
• Write application notes that explain different use cases, implementation and/or flexibility of our products and support customers with their questions and become their contact person for C2i

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements -

• Bachelor's degree/Masters/Ph.D in Electrical Engineering, ECE, instrumentation, or related field
• 1-3 years of relevant experience. Experience with Simplis/matlab like tools and understanding of extraction of gerber files to simulation models
• Experience in applications support of analog mixed signal and power products
• Exceptional hardware and software debugging skills
• Strong technical background, with the ability to write/create high quality technical documentation
