Job Summary

The QA / QC Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all electrical works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and statutory requirements. The role involves inspections, testing, documentation, and coordination with project teams to maintain high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain
    Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures
    for electrical works.
  • Review and ensure compliance with
    approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs
    .
  • Conduct
    site inspections
    for electrical installations such as cabling, panel installation, earthing, lighting, ELV, and fire alarm systems.
  • Carry out and witness
    testing & commissioning
    activities (IR test, continuity test, earth resistance, functional tests, etc.).
  • Prepare and maintain
    inspection reports, test reports, checklists, and quality records
    .
  • Identify
    non-conformities (NCRs)
    and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Coordinate with
    execution engineers, consultants, and clients
    for inspections and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with
    IS standards, IEC standards, and local electrical regulations
    .
  • Monitor material quality and ensure
    approved materials
    are used at site.
  • Support audits, client inspections, and handover documentation.

Qualifications

  • ITI / Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
  • Fresher to
    1–5 years of experience
    in QA/QC or electrical execution (preferred)
  • Good knowledge of
    electrical systems and installations
  • Understanding of
    QA/QC procedures and documentation
  • Familiarity with
    IS codes, safety standards, and quality standards
  • Ability to read and interpret
    electrical drawings
  • Basic knowledge of
    testing instruments
  • Proficiency in
    MS Excel and MS Word
  • Good communication and coordination skills
