Role Description

• The business which this development team is supporting is the lending department within Private Bank Germany. The whole life cycle for mortgage and consumer loans as well as securitization solutions for these loans is covered within the department and supported by the several teams.
• In the last years we have developed a service layer for common development tasks, the Lending Service Layer (LSL). The Lending Service Layer provides a set of well defined, structured and reusable Lending Services (APIs) for all internal and external stakeholders. The LSL is in a steady expanding mode to integrate and offer services in a dynamical evolving environment.
• To extend and maintain these services, an experienced QA Engineer is required. This role includes the design and execution of test cases for validating the functional and technical requirements of the application.
• Furthermore, it includes the analysis of new requirements with the help of business analysts to organize the testing approach. In case of application issues, the QA engineer should report it to the development team and co-ordinate with them for its early resolution.
• As an Engineer he is responsible for designing, developing and delivering significant components of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. 
• Key responsibilities of this role include active participation in the design of the components, ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose and maintainable, and can be integrated successfully into the overall solution and the LSL environment. Where clear, robust and well tested deployments are in practice.

Your key responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution:

Would be expected to carry out below list of Tasks

• Participate on development of holistic Test Approach for the application and all subcomponents
• Build functional/regression tests in ALM/Jira
• Carry out Test execution and test reporting
• Work on Test automation to build regression automation test suite using TestNg tool from manual tests and update them for every release.
• Version control artifacts using Bitbucket, Github.
• Schedule automation scripts based on Release cycles.
• Must have knowledge of setting up new automation frameworks and suggest solutions for automating the existing manual processes if any in testing.
• Review daily smoke test reports, and Regression test reports. Analyse test failures and raise issues/defects to respective Dev teams.
• Update / Fix test scripts as per the functionality changes
• Achieve good test coverage Quality
• Must have good knowledge of the software test best practises and industry standard tools
• Must be able to ensure the adherence to the organizational/departmental test strategy for the project
• Maintaining testing standards and ensure that they adhered to, as well as proactively trying to add these standards whenever possible.
• Taking pride in the quality of software delivered for each iteration and release.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with other development team members, project members, managers and end users.
• Must be self-motivated, setting a high level of professionalism and excellence.

Your skills and experience

Must Have

• Tools you must know: TestNG, Core Java, Jira, RestAssured, Cucumber, Understanding on Microservices architecture, SQL queries, Postman & SoapUI, Version control (GIT).
• 10-14 Years of functional testing experience.
• Good understanding and knowledge of automation Testing methodologies.
• Good Knowledge of the following: HP ALM, JIRA
• Good knowledge on SDLC.
• Good communication skills.
• Agile communications & ceremonies.
