Job Title : Business Analyst

Reports To : Program Manager- Projects

Job Overview

Analyst is responsible for seeking out, developing, and helping Program Manager to evaluate the Processes in the RFP, Business Documents. Create the Process Diagram and map the processes to the Technological Interventions. Analyse the impacts of change, document and support communication between relevant groups and stakeholders, and capture requirements needed to initiate a change.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
  • Conducting ongoing reviews of business processes and

developing optimization strategies

  • Work with the Technical Analyst and development team to ensure that they understand the specifications.
  • Work with the training team to document system scenarios and identify roles impacted to help develop a change management/training plan
  • Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development
  • Reviewing use data modelling practices to analyse findings

and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes

  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements
  • Create and implement precise management plans for every project, with attention to transparent communication at all levels
  • Author and update internal and external documentation and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the DoP team

Educational

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.

Certification (Desirable)

  • Certificate of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) from IIBA.

And/or

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) from IIBA.

Work Experience

  • 15 years of Business Analyst experience
  • Proven experience in forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis combined with understanding of key performance indicators
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies
  • Good working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to problem solve and apply methodologies such as Unified Modelling Language and Rational Unified Process, to prepare detailed specifications using case statements and related documentation

  • Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions

  • Experience in project management

  • Highly proficient technical writing capabilities
  • Demonstrated excellent understanding of the way the organization works and the sector it operates in
  • Knowledge of requirements specification and development, such as process/functional requirements definition methods, JAD/RAD sessions, use case development, process flow diagrams.
