Position Overview:

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer specializing in activewear to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will be skilled in designing functional, stylish, and innovative active wear that meets the demands of modern consumers. This role requires a strong understanding of fabric technology, garment construction, and current sportswear trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze activewear and sportswear trends, materials, and competitor products to inform design decisions.
  • Develop original design concepts for active wear collections including tops, bottoms, outerwear, and accessories.
  • Create detailed technical drawings, sketches, and mood boards using design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and materials focused on comfort, durability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with product development, merchandising, and production teams to oversee prototype creation and fittings.
  • Ensure quality standards and functional requirements are integrated throughout the production process.
  • Maintain awareness of sustainable and ethical fashion practices in activewear production.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of collections.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Fashion Design) from NIFT or any premium fashion institutes.
  • 1-3 years of experience in activewear, sportswear, or performance apparel design.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and textile selection, especially for technical and stretch fabrics.
  • Knowledge of current trends in activewear and sportswear industries.
  • Ability to translate consumer needs and market research into innovative design solutions.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
  • Passion for fitness, sports, or an understanding of active lifestyles is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with sustainable fabric sourcing and eco-friendly production processes.
  • Familiarity with 3D design software for virtual prototyping.
  • Prior experience working in a retail or brand environment focused on activewear.
