The Bodyshop Advisor acts as the primary point of contact for customers requiring vehicle body repair services. They are responsible for greeting customers, assessing repair needs, preparing estimates, coordinating repair work with technicians and insurance companies, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair process.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive service experience.
Inspect damaged vehicles and accurately document repair requirements.
Prepare and present detailed repair estimates and obtain customer or insurance company approvals.
Coordinate with insurance assessors and handle claims documentation.
Schedule repair work and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
Communicate repair updates to customers regularly.
Verify quality of completed repairs before vehicle delivery.
Prepare final invoices and assist with payment processing.
Maintain accurate customer and repair records in the bodyshop management system.
Support the Bodyshop Manager in maintaining productivity, efficiency, and profitability targets.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent (automotive or technical qualification preferred).
Proven experience as a bodyshop advisor, estimator, or service advisor in the automobile industry.
Strong understanding of vehicle body repair processes and insurance claim procedures.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
Office and workshop environment within a dealership or collision repair facility.
May require occasional overtime or weekend work based on business needs
