Position Overview

We are seeking a
Visually Impaired Peer Trainer
to support our Vision Project in Delhi. The trainer will work closely with visually impaired students to build their digital literacy skills, with a special emphasis on using smartphones effectively with accessibility tools such as
TalkBack
. This is a part-time contractual role requiring 10 hours of engagement per week, spread across Monday to Saturday.

Key Responsibilities

●    Train visually impaired students in smartphone-based digital literacy.

●    Provide hands-on guidance on using accessibility features, especially
TalkBack
.

●    Support students in building confidence to independently use digital tools for education, communication, and daily living.

●    Travel within Delhi to conduct sessions at schools, training centers, or community spaces as needed.

●    Work in alignment with the goals of Kara Medical Foundation's Vision Project.

●    Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the training curriculum and approach.

Qualifications & Skills

●    Must be visually impaired (peer training model).

●    Strong working knowledge of
TalkBack
and other accessibility features on smartphones.

●    Prior experience in teaching/training, especially with visually impaired learners, is desirable but not mandatory.

●    Good communication skills and the ability to connect with students.

●    Willingness to travel within Delhi for sessions.

●    Commitment to working 10 hours per week.

Employment Details

●    Location: Delhi (with local travel for training sessions)

●    Working Hours: 10 hours per week.

●    Compensation: Commensurate with experience and project budget
