Job Description:

We are seeking highly skilled Wiring Harness Design Engineers with strong experience in both 2D and 3D electrical design tools for the automotive domain. Ideal candidates will have expertise in wiring harness design and development across the complete product lifecycle, from concept through release.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of electrical harness schematics.
  • Creation of 3D wiring harness models in Zuken E3 / AutoCAD Electrical / SolidWorks Electricals / CATIA/ Creo / E-plan
  • Proficient in 2D harness drawing creation and integration from 2D to 3D models.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical for schematic design and component documentation.
  • Develop vehicle wiring harness BOMs including wires, connectors, terminals, and other accessories.
  • Creation of detailed assembly and installation drawings for harness systems.
  • Build and maintain electrical component libraries and symbols as per customer standards.
  • Ensure design compliance with wiring harness standards and best practices.
  • Selection and specification of electrical components (e.g., connectors, relays, fuses, seals, grommets, coverings).
  • Practical knowledge of harness assembly and routing on vehicles with multiple variants.
  • Ensure manufacturability and serviceability of harnesses in vehicle design.
  • Experience working with PLM systems for model and drawing release to customers.
  • Involvement in end-to-end product development, including Electric Vehicle (EV) and Autonomous Vehicle harness systems.

Required Software Proficiency:

  • 2D Tools: Zuken E3, SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical
  • 3D Tools: SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, NX
  • PLM Systems: (As per customer standards)

Preferred Background:

  • Automotive electrical systems
  • Product development lifecycle in the automotive sector
  • Electric or autonomous vehicle projects
